Services
Desk Duty provides remote administrative, bookkeeping support, and e-commerce assistance as described on our website. The specific tasks carried out each month are agreed between you and Desk Duty at the start of the engagement.
We do not provide legal, financial, or regulated professional advice. Any work involving specialist knowledge should be reviewed by a qualified professional.
Subscriptions
- Services are provided on a monthly subscription basis, pre-paid at the start of each month
- Hours purchased are reserved exclusively for your business for that calendar month
- Unused hours do not carry over to the following month and are non-refundable
- Additional hours beyond your tier can be purchased at £23 per hour, invoiced monthly
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled with 30 days' written notice
Payment
Payment is due at the start of each subscription month via Wise or PayPal. Failure to pay within 7 days may result in suspension of services. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998.
Turnaround and availability
We aim to respond to all tasks within 24 hours during UK business hours (Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm). This is a target, not a contractual guarantee. Response times may vary during public holidays.
Cancellation
Either party may terminate the arrangement with 30 days' written notice sent to hello@deskduty.uk. Fees already paid for the current month are non-refundable.
Confidentiality
Desk Duty treats all client information as strictly confidential. We will not disclose your business information, data, or communications to any third party without your consent, except where required by law.
Intellectual property
All work produced by Desk Duty on your behalf belongs to you upon receipt of full payment. Desk Duty retains no rights over deliverables once payment is made.
Limitation of liability
Desk Duty's liability is limited to the fees paid in the month in which a claim arises. We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of profit, or consequential damages arising from delays, errors, or omissions in the services provided.
We are not liable for losses resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including technical failures, illness, or force majeure events.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. You will be notified of material changes by email. Continued use of our services after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
